My little angel~

I took Lily Kate outside early this afternoon... she loves the outdoors, sometimes I think she would be fine with it if we left her out there in her little basket~ (of course we wouldn't! ☺ ) Oh, and this picture of her crying is just because, sometimes she can't seem to accept the fact that life isn't always going to be a fairy tale, poor girl! =)

Baseball, hotdogs, apple pie, and chevrolet

Titus had a baseball game tonight... oh, at that age they are so funny to watch! I remember when Gabe was playing at his age, I there was a little boy who did cartwheels in out field = ), I saw a little boy at practice one day, who did splits in out field!

(Oops, I just now relized that I put "to low", instead of "to big".)
This little boy, poor thing, couldn't for the life of him keep is pants pulled up! = ) He had to have his pants pulled up, and shoes tied before he went up to bat. Then as he was running to first, his pants started to fall, so he finished it out by skipping, it was adorable!

And, you can't have a baseball game, without the mom who acts like it is the world series, and jumps up and down, and screams!! Oh my~ ; D

= )literally

better than a hallelujah sometimes.

"We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah
Better than a church bell ringing,
Better than a choir singing out, singing out."- (Better than a Hallelujah- Amy grant.)

I love this song, I heard it on the radio the other day, and thought it had really cool lyrics (those above were just the lyrics to the chorus.)

this was another song that I thought was so neat... (it's the first song on my playlist.)

One day eyes that are blind will see you clearly
And one day all who deny will finally believe
One day hearts made of stone will break in pieces
And one day chains once unbroken will fall down at your feet

So we wait
For that one day
Come quickly, we want to see Your…

[Chorus:]
Glory
Every knee falls down before thee
Every tongue offers you praise, with
every hand raised
Singing Glory
To you and unto you only
We'll sing Glory to Your name

One day voices that lie will all be silenced
One day all that's divided will be whole again
One day death will retreat and wave it's white flag
One day love will defeat the strongest enemy
So we wait

For that one day
Come quickly, we want to see your….

[Chorus:]
Glory
Every knee falls down before thee
Every tongue offers you praise, with
every hand raised
Singing Glory
To you and unto you only
We'll sing Glory to Your name

We know not the day or the hour
Or the moments in between
But we know the end of the story…
When we'll see your…

[Chorus:]
Glory
Every knee falls down before thee
Every tongue offers you praise,
every hand raised
Singing Glory
To you and unto you only
We'll sing Glory to Your name
I just updated pictures from my latest photo shoot under "my photography", you can go there and have a look~ If you would like to leave a comment just leave one under this post... I would love suggestions, and pointers!

something beautiful.

So as you can see I have a new header and.... and new name. Something Beautiful. I decided on this name because- I like the shortness of it, It's A Beautiful Life was just to long, and I liked what it meant. My life is something beautiful. You still get the same impression from it, but it is different. I know I change around things to much, but I like it now, and think I will keep it.... for a while anyways~ ☺

Here's what made me change it-

Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so
Beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me
All that I need
You are so
Beautiful, beautiful

(lyrics from the song "Beautiful, Beautiful", sung by Francesca Battistelli. You can listen to it at the bottom of my playlist.)

Happy Birthday, Barbie!!

Its about time this happened to her.... Barbie's 50th

(I thought this was funny, I got it in a e-mail ☺ )

Sroll on down for the new post below~

I'm Happy.

I just got back from that great consignment shop that I was talking about in the fashion post. I am now especially happy that I didn't buy that skirt yesterday. I just bought that tan skirt in the above, and shrug/jacket (also above) there. The original cost for them was 2.00 for the shrug, and $10.oo for the skirt, but they were half off, and I think a little more, and I my total ended up being $4.84! I was so happy~ And I just made a pair of earrings out of a broken bracelet and the beads that I had laying around from that, the hooks from an old pair ,and himp... sounds strange I know, but they turned out pretty good. I was very happy~ =) Happy Friday... today is my favorite day of the week, Friday nights are the best, in my opinion ; )

P.S now that I look at the picture, the skirt doesn't look very pretty, but it is more decorative in real life. oh, and I don't have a glass eye- its my hair- it looks really funny in the picture~

ten honest, random things about me.

1. I don't think I have ever taken a shower before where I haven't sang.

2. I love to talk = )

3. I want to harmonize very badly- I am working on it, and making progress I think? What do you think Aunt Monica- or should I say my teacher!! =)

4. I love reality shows (as long as they are descent!)

5. I have never had steak in my life- I would like to try some sometime.

6. I love statistics.

7. I take pictures when I am bored.

8. I have a basket full of lyrics- I love them!

9. I hate sitting next to Titus during church- he can't sit still to save his life.

10. Once I start laughing I can't stop- ask my family, its terrible.

Well, there you have it, ten random things~ I am going to go brush my teeth, then I am off to bed.

Who doesn't love walmart?

You can buy just about anything there, you can get great prices... but still I hate it.

We (Mama, Lily Kate, and I) paid a visit there just this afternoon. It's not the funnest place to be, but I guess everything can't be fun... especially going to walmart!! = )

Oh, before I forget, let me tell you something, we went to this consignment shop today, that has some really cute stuff... and I found this skirt. It was long and prairie style, brown and kind of beachy looking. And I really liked it, but didn't want to give up money to buy it... just couldn't. In the end I was glad I didn't but it, just didn't love it... and if I don't love it I won't buy it, and that was the case here. So I left the store empty handed... = )

Sorry for the boring post, I am not in a blogging mood.

guess I will go pay some visits to some blogs~

Adventure in the attic.

If you read the last post, you read about my hate for attics. Well, my hate for attics multiplied when I got up there and Levi decides to hang out at the bottom of the latter leading up there. First He said something with improper grammer, and I had to correct him about twenty times. Then as I was standing on the ladder leaning across the opening trying to reach something, he thinks it would be kind of cool, to push the ladder up, and I don't, I was so mad at him. Who wants to be standing on the steps with the bottom hanging in mid-air? =) I didn't find what I was looking for up there, so I guess I did it for no good. All those sweaty palms for nothing... =) I won't be up there anytime again soon, I can promise you that~ Hope you are having a great weekend, and the next time you go into an attic, think of me ; )

{spring rain}

I love a downpour on a spring evening... it is so relaxing. I am going to go go into the attic and try to pull out some things that I need~ I hate attics, they creep me out, especially the steps, when you are pulling them down- gee it scares me. I know it sounds silly, but I feel like the big cement blocks on the ends are going to come crashing down. haha, like that going to happen, but if it did, it would happen to me! Better go get it over with~ =) Happy Wednesday~

For the Love of Fashion.

I love cute clothes, accessories, shoes, etc., etc. I think a lot of people do. I was going through my closet today, and was trying on things, and finding that a lot of things didn't fit... that's always fun!! So now I have two pairs of pants in the "cold months" catagory... winter is a long way off so I am not too worried about it~ =) Anyway, I have been thinking about style lately... I get on so many blogs and the people have great eyes for style, and always look so put together and cute. I always love to get magazines and to pick out clothes that I dream of owning, but sometimes I am just not willing to pay fifty dollars for a shirt = ) . We live about 2 min. from a great consignment shop, and they sell both used and new clothes, and everything is always in really good shape, and I love what the price tags have to say!! =) Here are some pictures of things that I found on some store websites, that I thought were very classy, and cute~ let me know what you think.

Lets scare the poor kid, thats always a good idea.

Okay there is this book called "Annie Ashcraft Looks into the Dark". I was read this book more than a few times when I was little. And let me tell you, it is the scariest book any parent could read to a poor kid who is about to go to sleep. Let me "read" to you part of it~

"Annie is small, and the night is big. Very big. And sometimes scary. Tonight the night looks like it it's watching her, like white eyes peeking through the dark. And there are noises-like the kind coming at her now from the other side on the thin, knotty-pine walls of her bedroom. Scrape. Scritch. Scrape. As though something with claws is trying to get in. (oh, that's a comforting thought, isn't it?) Scritch...scrape. A dark shadow moves across a wall. Annie pulls her blue-and-white quilt over her head and buries herself into its warmth. But the quilt cannot keep out the scraping noise on the other side of the wall. Scritch...SCRAPE. Annie is too scared to move. She shivers even though it is summer. She's glad her mother closed the window before she went to bed. Now at least whatever is outside making that awful noise can't get in. But the latched window doesn't keep out the scary noise. Neither does the quilt. Nor Annie's pillow. Nor her eyes, which are squinted shut so tightly they hurt. Scritch...SCRAPE. SCRITCH...SCRAPE. Is the noise coming closer? Will it come through the pine walls and closed window?"

Okay that's enough... if you thought the story was scary you should see the illustrations, they are some scary illustrations. ☺ In the end it ends up that her dad comes in and finds that it is the latch on the door, on the woodshed that is making the noise, so he puts her back to bed. The story is built around the verse Psalm 3:5 "I can lie down and go to sleep. And I will wake up again because the Lord protects me." I really like that verse. I have always thought that this book was kind of creepy, for kids who are trying to go to sleep, but their mothers insist on reading them a horror story before bed... the poor kid.

I am not trying to offend the Mommys out there who read this to their kids, my mom did, and I lived through the scary nights that followed. Just Kidding- I don't think they were that bad. Just thought I would do a post about it, I saw Mama Reading it to Levi tonight, and thought I would do a post about it. Anyway, here are some pictures of Lily Kate~

This unfortunate critter...

Just had a funeral...

The ceremony went like this-

"Bless this Craw fish and may it have good sleep (it had already been asleep for awhile, in the science dissection kit!!) until we meet again... now lets sing God be with you till we meet again". So we proceeded to sing that. It was a nice funeral. But the sad thing about it Abigail didn't show up for the ceremony- and she is the one who dissected it in the first place. rude I know.

The End.

the neighbors start hating us at 4.

Yes, you read the title of this post right... you see at 4 o'clock on Mondays, the girls down the street come over... the one Abigail's age dances with her in our living room, and Ashlyn who is my age joins me outside. Today they came over (it didn't work out for Monday this week) and we got out the water balloons and water balloon blaster... then all heck broke out in the backyard, balloons were flying onto the neighbors roofs (or so our veiw made it look like it, but they really just exsploaded really close to the car, thank goodness they where smart enought to put a screen around the car... they were watching out for us!! =) ) balloons were flying. everywhere. And, oh, before I forget, if you have never tried dumping a bucket of water balloons onto the trampoline, and then letting five kids get on it, and trample all over them, you should, you will get wet feet garenteed. I thought my eardrums were going to pop, screams were heard loud and clear. So thats what I did at 4... popped water balloons, I think that will be my line of work someday. ☺

He don't likes me.

Okay, I am going to fess up and admit that yes I had a argument with my six year old brother today, while I was babysitting. Sounds kind of silly, but I think the fight started, when he was acted like a jerk to Levi because He wouldn't stop blowing his wissle, so it when like this~

I was trying to watch them, clean the kitchen, and do school, that isn't a very easy thing to do by the way, if you have never tried doing it. Levi decides to convince me into giving Him a wissle, now let me tell you, this wissle isn't just the plastic kind that you get at the dollar store, this wissle is mettle, and was a wooden ball that just makes you ears ring when it is blown. So being the smart person that I am, I tell him that when he finishes eating his salad, I will give it to him (smart move I know). So eventually He finishes his salad, and gets the wissle, and then it started. Titus comes into the kitchen, and starts to argue with Levi and tells him to stop blowing it... then he proceeds to knock him on the head, with an glare in his eyes. So like any other person, I tell him to go to his room, so He does (isn't he such an obedient boy?!) Well, by that point I am getting extreamly tired of Levi blowing that blasted wisstle, so I tell him to put it up, but he had other plans, and continued to blow it, but I was in a hurry to finish up so I let it go, but then it gets extreamly annoying, and I tell him again, he doesn't listen, but I still don't do anything about it (I am a great babysitter aren't I?) =) Then as I was scrubbing away at a pot, with my back torwards Levi, He blows as hard as He can on that wissle... I was mad, and I let my temper get the best of me, and I turn around and yell "Stop doing that now, Levi" (isn't it funny how whenever your mad at someone you put their name somewhere in the sentence?) And that was followed by a sweet little voice, coming from a little boy with a big grin on his face and He says "Okay", in a I know your really mad type of voice... but it worked, thank goodness. Then later on I tell Titus to sit down on the sofa and read his "Dick and Jane" book. He doesn't like that idea, and begins to interfear with Gabe, while he is doing school. Then the real fun began, I try to get Titus to sit down and read, also while trying to get Gabe to do his work, and neither one of them was listening. I was fed up and I yelled to Titus to get in his room, and for Gabe to go in the school room. Finally after all that, I sat down to do my school, just as Levi came in and asked if he could get something out of his room, I told him he could as long as he didn't talk to Titus. Levi goes in there, and I go back to Math. Levi walked into the living room, and tells me "Titus told me, to tell you that He don't likes you". I couldn't help but laugh, it was so cute... so I guess in a way the fight ended on a good note~
